1. ENTERING YOUR COMMUNITY

Is ENTERING free?

Yes! Entering your community is free.

How do I ENTER?

To enter, fill out the online entry form and submit your story and up to 3 photos on your community profile’s page.

I cannot find my community, how do I add it?

Click Nominate your Community at the top of the page. To enter the contest, create a profile for your community by submitting some basic community/arena info plus submitting your hockey story with up to 3 photos (minimum 1 required).

2. CONTENT

What are the DIGITAL CAMERA requirements for submitting photos?

All camera models and makes will produce good results, however, we recommend you use a 4-megapixel camera or higher.

How do I UPLOAD files?

Once you’ve filled in the entry form, add your story in the text box provided and attach up to 3 photos.

Is there a limit on the NUMBER OF FILES my community can have on the site?

Not at all! So encourage your entire community to get involved by submitting their photos and stories.

Is there a limit on the NUMBER OF FILES I can have on the site?

You are limited to 1 story and up to 3 photos per submission. However, there are no limits to the number of submissions you can create. If you have more than 1 story and 3 photos that you want to add, simply create another submission.

Are there size limits for the files I UPLOAD?

Each file you upload must be less than 2 MB in size.

Why doesn’t my CONTENT show up on the site immediately?

We review each submission to ensure it is appropriate for use. It is then published to the site for viewing. It may take up to 5 days for your content to appear, so your patience is appreciated.

How can I get the rest of my community involved?

Once your community has a profile, you will have a unique website address that you can give to members of your community (i.e., cbcsports.ca/Hockeyville/yourcommunityname). You can also promote your Kraft Hockeyville profile using the ad campaign creation tools on the site.

How do I create an ad campaign to promote my community’s profile?

Once your community is created, simply go to your community profile and choose from the several campaign options located on the right side of the page. Select the promotional material you’d like to create and follow the step-by-step instructions on the screen.

I’ve created my campaign, now what do I do?

Posters: With permission, you can put your posters around your community, including store front windows, retail counters and other visible, high traffic locations.

Stickers: Stickers can be put on binders or used as bumper stickers. Please do not put posters or stickers in public places without permission.

Newspaper ads: Send newspaper ads to your local paper along with a request for publication. What better way to get the word out about your Kraft Hockeyville Community profile?

Social Networks:You can promote your community, share stories/photos/video and post campaign materials on your favourite social network including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

3. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

What kind of FILE FORMATS do you support?

We support JPG/JPEG photo file format.
