Peoria Rivermen goaltender Ben Bishop earned Top Goaltender honors at the 2012 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Bishop stopped 16 of 19 shots in the competition -- including all six challengers in the Breakaway Relay -- to lead the Western Conference to an 18-10 overall victory against the Eastern Conference. Bishop leads the AHL in shutouts this season with six, but he was initially left off the All-Star squad. The league added him last week when Lake Erie's Cedrick Desjardins scratched from the event because of injury.  He is trade bait this NHL trade deadline season.  He must play 15 NHL games this season, or he will be come a rare group 6 UFA.
