Right-winger Jamie Langenbrunner is almost certain to return to the Devils' lineup in Game 6 Sunday night after missing three games with a lower body injury.

Defenceman Bryce Salvador, who has missed one game with a left knee injury, will probably not be able to play but accompanied the team to Raleigh, N.C., after Saturday's practice in New Jersey.

Asked how practice went, Langenbrunner said: "I felt good. I skated yesterday and felt good yesterday. Today, I got to go out there with those guys and I felt good."

"Those guys" are linemates Zach Parise and Travis Zajac, which was an indication that Langenbrunner would play.

"We'll see tomorrow," coach Brent Sutter said. "That decision will be made tomorrow."

Langenbrunner said he would wait until Sunday morning to see how his injury responded to a full practice, but said: "The way I went on that line, I would imagine I'm playing tomorrow."

That would mean a forward would come out of the lineup and it would probably be Bobby Holik.

Salvador skated prior to practice but did not stay on with the team.

"I feel good," the defenceman said. "I'm going to skate tomorrow in the pre-game skate."

The Devils might not be quick to put Salvador back in because Andy Greene played well in his place.

CULLEN AND SAMSONOV SIT OUT PRACTICE

Neither Matt Cullen nor Sergei Samsonov took part in Carolina’s practice Saturday.

However, Cullen is expected to play in Sunday’s sixth game against the Devils while Samsonov is listed as questionable.

Hurricanes coach Paul Maurice retained the line he assembled in Game 5 with Ray Whitney, Eric Staal and Chad LaRose.

Dwight Helminen took Cullen’s spot on the line with Tuomo Ruutu and Erik Cole.
