Flyers had a quick, light skate. Lines and defence pairs same as yesterday.

FLYERS INJURY UPDATE

Jason Smith did not take the morning skate but rode a bike and says he will play. Randy Jones still has a bit of the flu but skated and remains a pre-game decision. Philadelphia head coach John Stevens expects Jones to play, as well.

Steve Downie out with the flu. Believe he did not make the trip.

NOTABLE

No Flyer defenseman in the lineup tonight will have ever played a playoff game in Flyer colors. Guys like Timonen and Smith played elsewhere. Both Randy Jones and Braydon Coburn are playing their first NHL playoff games.

COBURN

"I'm excited and anxious. I'm ready to go. I'm going in same way I would any other game. The game plan is different because it's a seven-game series but individually, I'll try to play the same way and maybe a little harder and a little smarter."

STEVENS

Nervous about your 1st playoff game?

"No, not really. The time at the rink this time of year is exciting. We're feeling good about ourselves and the challenge ahead."

Stevens said he will not shadow Alex Ovechkin in the series.

SOME SERIES PLAYED 2 GAMES; THIS ONE HASN'T STARTED

"It's a little odd, "Stevens said. "But once it gets going, it's every other day with a back-to-back in the series. Even though we had a lull here, it gets going and keeps going."
