The Calgary Flames made a move Sunday to toughen up by signing free agent Andre Roy.

Media reports say the forward, who has been through Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Ottawa and Boston, will make $550,000 US for the coming year.

In 63 games with the Lightning last season, Roy had four goals and three assists to go along with 108 minutes in penalties.

He won a Stanley Cup with Tampa in 2004.

Over 471 career games in the NHL, Roy has 65 points on 32 goals, plus 1,086 minutes in penalties.
