The Boston Bruins announced Monday that they have signed forward Brian McGrattan to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

McGrattan, 29, has appeared in 182 NHL games with the Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and Ottawa Senators since making his league debut during the 2005-06 season.

McGrattan had one goal and four points in 34 games for the Flames last season. He was invited to the Bruins training camp and skated with the team throughout the pre-season.

A native of Hamilton, Ont., McGrattan was originally selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 1999 NHL draft.
