DefencemanJordan Leopold was among four players re-signed by the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

Leopold, who wasacquired by the AvalanchefromCalgary last summer in a trade that sent forward Alex Tanguay totheFlames, was limited to 15 gamesin 2006-07due to various injuries.

The 26-year-old defenceman had two goals and three assists in his first season with Colorado.

"We believe in Jordan Leopold's abilities," said Avalanche general manager Francois Giguere. "He's entering the prime years of his career and we're confident he'll regain the form that he displayed in his first few seasons in the league."

The Avalanche also announced the signings of defencemen Kurt Sauer and Jeff Finger, as well as forward David Jones.

Sauer, 26, played in 48 games last year, recording six assists and averaging more than 18 minutes of ice-time.

Finger, 27, played in 22 games for the Avalancheafter his first career NHL callup Feb. 17 and had a goal and five assists.

Jones, a ninth-round draft pick for Colorado in 2003, had 44 points in 33 games last season with Dartmouth College.
