No surprise that the New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers are tops in this category. They haven't produced a winner in some time and both franchises are chasing new buildings.
Others teams that rated high in this category are not winning either. Toronto and Florida fall into that category. Surprisingly, Atlanta and Montreal were undesirable locations, too.
Atlanta has uncertain ownership and poor attendance, while players in Montreal are in the spotlight 24/7 in that wonderful hockey hotbed. The need to speak French may also be a factor.
