West Division

For the first time in 35 years, the Edmonton Eskimos won't be participating in the post-season, but that doesn't mean this playoff year will be any less compelling.

Teams from the West combined for a 19-13 record against their East counterparts this season and have won four of the last six Grey Cups.

Leading the way are the B.C. Lions, who clinched their third straight season title and hold a perfect 8-0 record against the East this year. The Lions last won the Grey Cup in 2000, but have a chance to win it all this year if they can beat either Calgary or Saskatchewan.

The Stampeders, who tied with B.C. for the best home record (8-1) in the league, hope to continue their success against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Led by running back Joffrey Reynolds, Calgary won the season series 2-1. Reynolds, who finished second in league rushing, gained 300 yards against the Riders in three games this season and added two touchdowns.

The Riders head into the post-season looking to hoist the Grey Cup for the first time since their epic win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1989. In a game many consider the most exciting Grey Cup ever, Dave Ridgway kicked the game-winning field goal, giving the Riders their first title in 39 years.
