PGA Tour opener delayed again by wind
Tournament of Champions delayed since Friday
The latest attempt to start the PGA Tour season lasted just over an hour.
High wind returned to Kapalua on Sunday and left officials no choice but to bring the players in from the Plantation Course with no one completing more than five holes. There was no immediate indication whether the opening round could resume.
An hour was enough to show some of the most wicked conditions around.
Ben Curtis had birdie putts on his opening two holes. He played them in 5-over par. The wind blew Matt Kuchar's ball off the tee twice before he could play his first shot. Charlie Beljan had a 15-foot putt for triple bogey when play was halted.
It appeared likely that the tournament would stretch into Tuesday.
