Major tournament demands minor adjustments
This week is our first major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. It's actually the first major of the year for any golf tour. I have already had the chance to play the course a couple of times and it is in fantastic shape.

Time to tee off a new season

I kept myself busy by playing hockey and getting to the gym regularly,
spending my time in Chandler, Ariz., and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Over
the last few months I've been working on my swing with a new coach, Gary
Gilchrist, doing a lot of mental training.

Alena Sharp of Hamilton is competing in her 10th professional season and seventh on the LPGA Tour, having turned pro after graduating from New Mexico State University in 2003. Alena lives in Phoenix, where she and fellow pro Beth Bader oversee the annual Bader/Sharp Shootout in support of Alzheimers research.
