The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released wide receiver Craig Yeast on Saturday, one day after the team was thrashed 29-0 by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The struggling Hamilton Tiger-Cats shook up their offence Saturday, releasing wide receiver Craig Yeast.

The move comes one day after the Ticats were thrashed 29-0 by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in CFL action.

Yeast, 29, was the second-leading receiver on the Ticats this season, hauling in 24 catches for 289 yards. He had only one catch for nine yards in Friday's defeat.

Yeast was a fixture in the Hamilton attack, putting together consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in 2004 and 2005.

The former NFL receiver recorded 157 catches for 2,704 yards over three-plus seasons with the Ticats.

Hamilton sits last overall in the CFL with a 1-6 record through the first seven games this season.
