Jake Delhomme completed 15-of-24 passes for 195 yards and two touchdown tosses, and tailback Jonathan Stewart rushed for 82 yards on 11 carries for a pair of rushing scores.
Though the Falcons' Michael Turner ran for 111 yards, quarterback Matt Ryan completed just 22-of-41 passes for 224 yards with a touchdown pass and two interceptions.
Buccaneers 23 at Dolphins 25
Dan Carpenter kicked a 25-yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining for the Miami Dolphins, who defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-23.
The Dolphins' two-headed monster at running back, Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, combined for 184 yards and a score while quarterback Chad Henne completed 17-of-31 passes for 175 yards for a touchdown and interception.
Making his second career start for Tampa Bay, signal caller Josh Freeman threw 16-of-28 passes for 196 yards.
Lions 10 at Vikings 27
Adrian Peterson ran for 133 yards and two rushing scores for the Minnesota Vikings as they best the Detroit Lions 27-10.
Vikings quarterback Brett Favre completed 20-of-29, passing for 344 yards and connecting with wide receiver Sidney Rice often. The third-year wideout caught seven balls for 201 yards.
Jaguars 24 at Jets 22
Josh Scobee kicked a 21-yard field goal with no time remaining as the Jacksonville Jaguars stopped a late New York Jets comeback, winning 24-22.
Jets running back Thomas Jones scored a rushing touchdown with 5:04 in the fourth before the Jaguars' David Garrard led his team down the field, setting up Scobee's winner.
Jacksonville's signal caller threw for 221 yards and a touchdown and also ran in for a score on the ground.
Bengals 18 at Steelers 12
Shayne Graham kicked four field goals for the Cincinnati Bengals, who defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 18-12 at Heinz Field.
With the victory, the Bengals are in first place in the AFC North.
Cincinnati's Carson Palmer had a relatively quiet afternoon, throwing for just 178 yards, as did top receiver Chad Ochocinco, catching two passes and 29 yards.
Saints 28 at Rams 23
The New Orleans Saints remained one of the league's two unbeaten teams, beating the St. Louis Rams 28-23.
Though not one of his better efforts, Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 18-of-26 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns, along with two picks.
Running back Reggie Bush ran for 83 yards on six carries with a score, and managed to get to the end zone on the ground as well.
Bills 17 at Titans 41
Chris Johnson ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Tennessee Titans crushed the Buffalo Bills 41-17.
The game had been tied at 17 in the fourth before the Titans scored 24 unanswered points.
Tennessee's defence came up strong late, returning interceptions from both Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick for touchdowns.
Eagles 23 at Chargers 31
LaDainian Tomlinson scored twice to continue his climb up the career rushing and scoring lists, and the hometown San Diego Chargers pulled into a tie atop the AFC West with their victory over Philadelphia.
Tomlinson gained a season-high 96 yards on 24 carries to pass Thurman Thomas and Franco Harris and move into 12th place all-time with 12,145 yards.
His two touchdowns gave him 146 and moved him past Marcus Allen and into third place on the all-time list.
The Chargers and Broncos, both 6-3, play next Sunday in Denver.
Chiefs 16 at Raiders 10
Jamaal Charles scored on a 44-yard run for Kansas City's first rushing touchdown of the season and the Chiefs used a late interception to win their seventh straight game in Oakland.
The Chiefs (2-7) have managed to win just five of their past 35 games. But three of those wins have come at the Oakland Coliseum, where Kansas City has the longest winning streak ever by a visiting team.
Ryan Succop kicked three field goals and Kansas City once again pulled out a close one against the Raiders (2-7) in the Chiefs' first game since releasing running back Larry Johnson.
Seahawks 20 at Cardinals 31
Rookie Beanie Wells had second-half touchdown runs of 10 and 13 yards and hometown Arizona rallied from an early two-touchdown deficit against Seattle for its second home win in five tries.
Kurt Warner completed 29-of-38 for 340 yards and two touchdown passes as the Cardinals (6-3) stayed two games up on San Francisco in the NFC West.
With Julius Jones out early with a chest injury, second-year back Justin Forsett rushed for a career-high 123 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown run, for the Seahawks (3-6).
Cowboys 7 at Packers 17
Charles Woodson helped Green Bay's defence finally play up to its potential against a big-time opponent, forcing two fumbles and picking off a pass by Dallas quarterback Tony Romo during a victory over the Cowboys.
It wasn't a pretty win for the Packers (5-4), but it might have saved their season after demoralizing back-to-back losses.
The Packers sacked Romo five times and held him to 251 yards passing in a momentum-killer for the Cowboys (6-3), who had won four straight. Dallas also lost starting right tackle Marc Colombo to a broken left leg.
Broncos 17 at Redskins 27
Brandon Marshall's two touchdown receptions weren't enough to derail the Washington Redskins, losing 27-17 to Denver.
Ladell Betts ran for 114 yards and a score on 26 carries to snap the Redskins four-game losing streak.
The Broncos have lost three straight since starting the season 6-0.
