Calgary's Jermaine Copeland, Hamilton's Otis Floyd, Saskatchewan's Luca Congi and B.C.'s Ricky Foley have received CFL player-of-the-month honours for September.

Copeland, a receiver, was honoured in the offensive player category after helping the Stampeders post a 3-1 record, with four touchdown catches and 343 receiving yards.

Two of Copeland's touchdowns were game winners. Against the Eskimos on Sept. 11, he caught a pass from quarterback Henry Burris with just 22 seconds remaining in the game. In a game against the Lions on Sept. 25, Copeland caught Burris's team-record 141st touchdown pass.

Copeland is second in the league in both receiving yards (886) and in total touchdowns (12).

Tiger-Cats linebacker Floyd was named defensive player of the month, collecting 21 tackles and three sacks.

Floyd had a memorable game against the Stampeders, helping the Ticats hold Burris to just nine yards passing in the first half. Floyd also had three tackles, including two sacks, against Hamilton.

Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Congi was named special-teams player of the month, going 12-for-13 on field goals and 12-for-12 on convert attempts for a total of 48 points.

In a Week 11 matchup against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Congi had his best game of the season, going 6-for-6 on field-goal attempts and 5-for-5 on converts for 23 points in the Roughriders' big win.

Congi has converted 81.5 per cent of his field goal attempts this season, sixth best in the CFL.

Defensive end Foley was named Canadian player of the month.
