The return of Casey Printers to the CFL is a more likely proposition than just two days ago, with the Kansas City Chiefs acquiring reserve quarterback Tyler Thigpen.
Kansas City acquired Thigpen off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings late Sunday.

The Chiefs on Saturday released Printers, the 2004 CFL most outstanding player, but had the option of placing him on their practice roster, as they did last season.
Jason Medlock, the agent for Printers, told the Vancouver Sun on Sunday that clubs on both sides of the border have expressed interest but that his client would prefer to pursue NFL opportunities.
That may prove to be difficult given that the likes of Byron Leftwich, Tim Rattay and Ken Dorsey, all quarterbacks with NFL experience, are also available.
Printers, coming in for an injured Dave Dickenson, earned his CFL honour by throwing for 5,088 yards and 35 touchdowns.
Lions coach Wally Buono opted to start Dickenson in the 2004 Grey Cup, part of a quarterback controversy that continued until Printers left after the 2005 season.
