The Edmonton Eskimos added a pair of former NFL receivers on Thursday, signing Pat Johnson and Kendrick Starling.
Johnson, a five-foot-11, 191-pound native of Gainesville, Ga., was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 1999, and has also played for Jacksonville, Washington and Cincinnati.
In 70 career NFL games, the 30-year-old has 84 catches for 1,286 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Starling, a six-foot, 210-pound native of Marshall, Texas, was the only rookie free agent signed to the Houston Texans roster in 2004.
He played on the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints in 2005, and re-signed with Houston in 2006 before being sent to the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe.
Starling, 27, dressed for eight games for the Texans in 2004, but did not record a catch.
