Ed Hervey, a wide receiver on two Grey Cup champion Edmonton Eskimos teams, has decided to call it a career.

Hervey, who played all eight of his CFL seasons with the Eskimos, made the announcement Tuesday in the Alberta capital.

The 33-year-old native of Houston will stay on as a scout and community relations assistant.

Hervey, a two-time all-star, made 476 catches for 6,715 yards and 43 touchdowns in 115 games.  He has Grey Cup rings from 2003 and 2005.
