Linebacker Singor Mobley and defensive back Donald Brady's lengthy stints with the Edmonton Eskimos came to an end Monday when the CFL club released the veteran pair.

Mobley, a nine-year veteran, and Brady, a five-year veteran, have played their entire CFL careers with the Eskimos.

"Singor and Donald have been key contributors during their time in Edmonton," head coach Danny Maciocia said in a release. "The entire Eskimo organization wishes them the best as they move forward with their careers."

Mobley and Brady are the latest veterans to be cut loose by Edmonton. Last month, the Eskimos released running back Troy Davis, their leading rusher last season, as well as linebacker Quincy Stewart and defensive back Kelly Wiltshire.

The overhaul of the Edmonton roster comes in the aftermath of the club's 7-11 record last season. The Eskimos were also looking to offload several players due to a stricter salary cap system in the CFL.

Mobley recorded 602 defensive tackles and 21 quarterback sacks, scored five touchdowns and made 15 interceptions in 158 games with the Eskimos. He also played in 11 playoff games and four Grey Cups.

Brady had 180 defensive tackles, 48 special teams tackles and 13 interceptions in 76 games for Edmonton. He also played in five playoff games and three Grey Cups.

In other moves, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed linebacker Cory Huclack and fullback Neil Fulgueras from the University of Manitoba Monday.

Huclack recorded a team-high 47 tackles plus two sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble in 2006

Fulgueras had 18 receptions for 395 yards and added 13 rushes for 54 yards and three touchdowns for the Bisons last season.
