Green Bay Packers cornerback Ahmad Carroll lost his job Tuesday because he made one mistake too many.
Carroll, 23, was released by the Packers after a blown assignment and a penalty resulted in opposition touchdowns in Monday's 31-9 loss at Philadelphia.
"We wish Ahmad luck," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said.

Carroll looked sharp in the first half, knocking down three passes and recording a sack on Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.
But things took a turn for the worse in the second half as Carroll was burned for a 45-yard touchdown by receiver Greg Lewis.
Carroll then was penalized for pass interference on the next series, and McNabb made him pay by finding Lewis in the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown.
"I know what I'm accountable for and I know what I did wrong," Carroll said. "I gave up the big plays."
Carroll posted nine tackles and one sack in four games this season, his third in the NFL, but failed to meet the expectations of a player drafted 15th overall (2004).
"On a personal level, it may be in his best interest for him to move on to another NFL venue," McCarthy said.
Carroll totalled 102 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, a fumble recovery and a touchdown in 34 games (28 starts) for the Packers.
