The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed Omarr Morgan, preventing the veteran defensive back from hitting free agency next month.

Details weren't released when the contract was announced Thursday.

Morgan, 33, is heading into his 10th season with the Roughriders and 11th in the CFL. The Hollywood, Calif., native started all 18 regular-season games in 2009 at cornerback, as he did for the West final and Grey Cup game, which Saskatchewan lost to Montreal.

In the regular season, Morgan recorded 50 defensive tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned a CFL-record 108 yards for a touchdown in a September loss to the Edmonton Eskimos.

In 172 career CFL games, Morgan has 28 interceptions, 11 fumble recoveries and five touchdowns.
