U. of T. routs rival York: CIS football
Varsity Blues score 32 points in 2nd quarter
Simon Nassar passed for 360 yards and four touchdowns Thursday night, and the University of Toronto scored 32 points in the second quarter in a 56-35 rout of cross-town rival York.
Paul de Pass caught two touchdown passes in the second quarter and led all receivers with 155 yards for the Varsity Blues (3-4).
Llevi Noel added a touchdown reception and 123 yards, while Alex Pierzchalski also hauled in a touchdown pass.
Marcus Hobbs scored two touchdowns on a pair of one-yard runs, and Christopher Johnson returned an interception for a touchdown.
Myles Gibbon threw for 314 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for the Lions (2-5).
William Austin had 128 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Damone Williams also caught a TD pass.
Connor Anderson and Errol Brooks added rushing scores.
A one-yard Brooks run gave York a 14-2 lead less than one minute into the second quarter, but Toronto exploded for 40 straight points and never looked backed.
York plays top-ranked Western next week, while Toronto hosts Waterloo.
