The Hamilton Tiger-Cats shored up their secondary Thursday, acquiring defensive back Ricardo Colclough and a 2015 sixth-round pick from the Edmonton Eskimos for fullback Darcy Brown.

The five-foot-11, 194-pound Colclough had six tackles in two games this season with Edmonton. He was a second-round pick of Pittsburgh in the 2004 NFL draft and spent time south of the border with the Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs and UFL's Omaha Nighthawks.

The six-foot-four, 245-pound Brown, a 26-year-old native of Mississauga, Ont., appeared in 55 games over four seasons with the Ticats, who also have released defensive tackle Robert Rose.
