Dinos cruise past Thunderbirds: CIS football

Andrew Buckley threw for two touchdowns and ran in another as the No. 3 Calgary Dinos beat the UBC Thunderbirds 34-17 in Canadian university football Friday.

Buckley completed 17-of-24 pass attempts for 228 yards, while on the ground Mercer Timmis rushed for 184 yards and one TD.

Jake Harty and Mac Sarro each added TD receptions as the Dinos improved to 8-0.

Greg Bowcott threw for one touchdown and went 16 for 33 for 224 yards for UBC (4-4). David Scott had the catch in the end zone.

Calgary kicker Johnny Mark added a field goal and a rouge, while his counterpart Quinn Van Gylswyk completed two field goals and had two rouges.
