Bombers re-sign offensive lineman Douglas
Douglas was Winnipeg's rookie of the year in 2010
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed import offensive lineman Andre Douglas.
Douglas became a free agent Feb. 15.
The team's 2010 rookie of the year, Douglas played left tackle in all 18 regular-season games last season as well as the club's two playoff games.
The six-foot-four, 318-pound Douglas has only missed three games in his two seasons with the Bombers.
Bombers general manager Joe Mack says having continuity along the offensive line is key.
The Blue Bombers have also signed import defensive lineman Andre Caroll.
Caroll attended training camp with the Blue Bombers last year but was cut.
As a senior at Delaware State, Caroll set a record for single-season tackles by a down lineman after recording 96, which ranked as the fifth highest in the conference.
