The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have dumped offensive co-ordinator Jamie Barresi.

Coach Paul LaPolice says they will decide later how to fill the slot.

LaPolice calls the plays on the field but says it's important to teach players and open lines of communication.

After two years he says they needed a new direction. He insists it's not based on their Grey Cup loss to the B.C. Lions in Vancouver and new contracts have been offered to the rest of the staff.

Once again he referred to a decision by running back Chris Garrett to move outside on a key play in B.C., missing an open slot inside.
