A week after signing former Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch, the Toronto Argonauts have now inked another quarterback to add to the team's mix at pivot.
The Argos picked up Spergon Wynn from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in exchange for defensive back Mike Crumb and a second-round draft pick.
Wynn's only season in Winnipeg was a forgettable one as he only dressed for three games due to injury.
He spent the previous two seasons with the B.C. Lions as the third QB behind Dave Dickenson and Casey Printers.
Wynn was in the NFL for three seasons, from 2000-02 with Cleveland and Minnesota. But he had just three starts in that span.
With Crouch slated to back up veteran stater Damon Allen this season, it's not clear how Wynn fits into the team's immediate plans.
Crumb, from Kelowna, B.C., spent three seasons with Toronto. Last season, he had seven special-team tackles, tied for sixth on the Argos.
