Safety Etienne Boulay will be rejoining the Montreal Alouettes, the club announced on Monday.

Boulay, 25, spent the past two seasons with Montreal before making a run for an NFL job this summer. He was cut by the New York Jets two weeks ago.

The Montreal native recorded five interceptions and 41 tackles in two seasons with the Alouettes, and was named the CFL East's outstanding rookie in 2006.

Montreal selected him in the second round of the draft that year after he played collegiately at the University of New Hampshire.

The Alouettes announced on Monday they had also signed defensive backs Gemara Williams and Jerron Wishom. Both spent time on NFL rosters in the last three years.
