Belbin, Agosto strike ice dancing gold

Americans Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto skated away with ice dancing gold at the ISU's Cup of China Grand Prix event in Beijing on Saturday.

After posting the best scores in the compulsory and original dances Friday, the team put up the best total in the free program (95.85) for a combined score of 194.51.

Russian pair Jana Khokhlova and Sergei Novitski (180.57) captured silver while Federica Faiella and Massimo Scali of Italy (179.92) took bronze.

The Canadian ice dance duo of Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, from Waterloo, Ont., moved up from eighth to sixth with a fourth-best free dance (80.36).
