With the figure skating season just around the corner, Skate Canada held its annual High Performance training camp on Thursday in Mississauga, Ont.

And because I know you want to know what's going on in the skating world as much as I do, I was working my handy little flip cam for up-close interviews with some of the top skaters in the world.

At different times throughout the day, the skaters were brought to the lobby and made to stand in front of a screen to address the media in a group known as a "scrum."

Patrick Chan, the two-time and reigning world champion was up first and shared his thoughts on the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games.




My second "scrum" video features Olympic and two-time world ice dance champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. My favourite part of this interview is Tessa's comments about the choice of Carmen for their free dance music in preparation of the upcoming season.
