You need only log in to the various fan sites for figure skating across the world to know that Patrick Chan is a favourite topic. Not only did he take his fifth Canadian title in Moncton a week ago, but he did it by posting extraordinary scores and breaking his own record in the short, free and overall scores.
National championships notwithstanding, Chan broke the 300-point overall total barrier for the first time anywhere with two sensational programs.
