Typhoon Wipha has forced FIFA to reschedule two games at the Women's World Cup in China.
The storm is expected to make landfall early Wednesday, bringing with it driving rain and gusting winds.
As a result, FIFA, soccer's world governing body, decided Tuesday to move a match scheduled for Wednesday in Shanghai — Norway versus Ghana in Group C — to the neighbouring city of Hangzhou. The game will be played on Thursday.
FIFA also moved a Group D match between Brazil and Denmark from Wednesday to Thursday. The game will be played as scheduled in Hangzhou.
Wednesday's Group C contest between Canada and Australia (CBC, 4:45 a.m. ET) in Chengdu remains unchanged.
