England's Farah withdraws from Commonwealth Games
European long-distance double champion Mo Farah has withdrawn from the England team for the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
The 27-year-old Farah says he needs a break after winning both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at the European Championships in Barcelona last month.
The Somalia-born athlete told the BBC that "my body is telling me that it is time to take a break from training and racing."
Farah added that "after the success I had this year I am happy to call it a season."
England's world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis opted out of the Oct. 3-14 Games because they clashed with her training schedule.
