2007 Continental Cup

Top men's and women's rinks from Europe and North America compete for world supremacy

Last Updated Dec. 11, 2007

National pride is at stake beginning Dec. 13 in Medicine Hat, Alta., where a collection of the world's top curlers will do battle in the 2007 Continental Cup of Curling.

Similar to golf's Ryder Cup, the increasingly popular Continental Cup pits three men's and three women's rinks from Europe against their counterparts from North America in a series of contests to determine international curling supremacy.

Featuring unconventional competitions like skins games and mixed doubles along with more traditional team play, the Continental Cup offers a unique experience for players and fans alike.

CBC Sports will broadcast live action on the final two days of competition, on Sat., Dec. 15 and Sun., Dec. 16.
