Rob Fowler and his team from Brandon, Man., will represent Manitoba at this year's Brier after they captured the provincial men's curling title on Sunday.

Fowler's rink captured the provincial men's title by defeating Mike McEwen's Fort Rouge team 10-6 in the final game of the 2012 Safeway Championship in Dauphin, Man.

The win marks the first provincial men's title for Fowler as skip. His teammates are Allan Lyburn, Richard Daneault and Derek Samagalski — all hailing from the Brandon Curling Club.

On Saturday, Fowler defeated his former skip, nine-time provincial champion Jeff Stoughton, to advance to Sunday's final.

The Tim Hortons Brier Canadian Men's Curling Championship will take place March 3-11 in Saskatoon.

Jennifer Jones and her rink from St. Vital will represent Manitoba at the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts, taking place Feb. 18-26 in Red Deer, Alta.
