Skip Heather Nedohin and her rink scored a point in the 11th end to upset the top-ranked Chelsea Carey rink 8-7 on Friday in the seventh draw of the Canada Cup of Curling.
It was the first loss of the tournament for Team Carey (4-1), which remains in first in the women's standings. Team Nedohin (2 3) is in a three-way tie for fourth.
Stefanie Lawton's rink (2-3) edged Rachel Homan's team (2-3) in the 11th end to earn a 9-8 victory.
In the men's tournament, Glenn Howard's rink (3-2) topped Kevin Koe's team (2-3) 7-5.
Mike McEwen led his rink (2-3) past Brad Jacobs' team (0-5) in nine ends for a 6-4 win.
Draw 8 and Draw 9 were scheduled for later Friday.
At the Canada Cup of Curling in Cranbrook, B.C., Glenn Howard's rink topped Kevin Koe's team 7-5.
