Ontario's Wayne Tuck overcame a comeback bid by Saskatchewan's Darrell McKee to win 6-5 on Friday in Iqaluit, Nunavut to advance to the Canadian mixed curling championship final.

Leading 4-2 through four ends, Tuck lost control in the fifth when McKee scored twice. Tuck took the lead in the sixth, but McKee replied in the seventh, leading to a pointless stalemate lasting through the tenth end when Tuck's lone point sealed the victory.

Earlier in the day, Tuck beat Nova Scotia's Mark Dacey 8-4 in a tiebreaker to meet McKee in the semifinal.

Tuck, lead Sara Jane Gatchell, second Jake Higgs and third Kimberly Tuck will face Manitoba's Sean Grassie (10-1) in Saturday's final.

In other Draw 17 action Friday morning, it was: Newfoundland and Labrador 11, Territories 4; Quebec 7, Alberta 6; and Manitoba 10.

Two players from the winning team will represent Canada at the 2009 world mixed doubles championship, which goes April 17-25 in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
