A record audience tuned in to CBC on Sunday to watch Canada's Jennifer Jones win her first world women's curling championship.
1.118 million viewers — a 139 per cent increase over last year — saw Jones and her Winnipeg rink defeat China 7-4 in the final in Vernon, B.C.

The next-highest audience was in 2000, with 741,000 viewers tuning in to see Canada beat Switzerland 7-6 in the final.
TSN's coverage of the round-robin and Page playoffs was the most-watched world curling event in the network's history with an overall average audience of 381,000 viewers.
CBC also showed the semifinal, where 817,000 viewers tuned in compared to 105,000 viewers last year, when the semifinal from Japan aired at 7 a.m. ET.
