Canada captured a silver medal in the women's four event Friday at the world rowing championship in South Korea.
Sarah Black of Ottawa, Christine Roper of Victoria, Natalie Mastracci of Thorold, Ont. and Cristy Nurse of Georgetown, Ont., were second in 6:47.62.
The U.S. won gold in 6:43.15 and the Aussies picked up bronze in 6:49.26.
The Canadian quartet are also members of the women's eight.
The lightweight men's pair of Eric Woelfl of St. Catharines, Ont., and Brendan Hodge of Delta, B.C., finished fourth overall. The Swiss crew won the race followed by Italy and Great Britain.
Also Friday, Canada's men's and women's lightweight singles rowed in B finals. Both Nick Pratt of Kingston, Ont., in the men's race and Patricia Obee of Victoria were ninth overall.
