Raza-Ur Rehman batted in 88 runs Wednesday as Canada's men's cricket team set a target of 196 runs in the first day of the Auty Cup against the United States.
Hiral Patel added 24 runs in the match at Lauderhill, Fla., while Junaid Siddiqui added 22 and Amarbir Hansra contributed 21.
Siddiqui was the last out for Canada, falling to a leg before wicket call.
The United States started their innings before play was called for the day, putting up 38 runs but already surrendering three wickets.
The two-day Auty Cup is the centrepiece of a four-day series of cricket between the North American neighbours.
The two teams will play a one-day international on Friday, followed by a pair of Twenty20 matches on Saturday.
