Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown says Shaquille O'Neal could miss the team's next couple of games with a strained shoulder.

O'Neal did not travel with the Cavaliers for their game at Washington on Wednesday night.

It's the third consecutive game he's missed.

Brown said O'Neal would be out Friday at Indiana and also might miss Saturday's home game against Philadelphia.

Brown called it "an opportune time to let him get some rest and let him get his body back."

Anderson Varejao has a bruised hip and also was inactive against Washington.
