Lakers retract contract offer to Odom

The Lakers confirmed Wednesday that they retracted a second contract offer to Odom, reportedly worth $10 million US over three years.
"There are specifics behind why we pulled it," Lakers spokesman John Black said. "But that is not something we're going to get into."
According to the Los Angeles Times, Odom was initially offered a four-year, $36-million-US deal.
He earned $14 million US this past season.
"We haven't heard from him in the past few days and talks have not been consistent," Black said.
Odom, 29, started in 32 of 78 games last season, averaging 11.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 blocked shots and 29.7 minutes.
He upped those averages to 12.3 points and 9.1 rebounds in the playoffs, fulfilling a key role off the bench as the Lakers won their 15th NBA championship.
Odom has averaged 15.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 blocked shots, 1.0 steals and 36.5 minutes in 665 games (605 starts) since being drafted fourth overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 1999.
He also spent one season with the Miami Heat.
