The NBA confirmed Wednesday that Denver Nuggets forward Nene Hilario received a two-game suspension for head-butting a player and bumping into an official.

Nene, 26, was ejected for delivering a head-butt to Louis Amundson with 7:25 remaining in Monday's 118-115 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Nene, who made contact with an official following the ejection, is eligible to return to the lineup Saturday, when Phoenix hosts the Golden State Warriors (6 p.m. PT).

Nene is averaging career highs of 14.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocked shots and 32.7 minutes in 68 games this season, his seventh with the Nuggets.

The native of Sao Carlos, Brazil, has averaged 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 28.5 minutes in 361 NBA games since he was drafted seventh overall in 2002.
