Kelenna Azubuike is sticking with the Golden State Warriors.

The Los Angeles Clippers signed the restricted free agent to a three-year, $9-million US offer sheet last week.

But the Warriors had seven days to match the offer, which they did Thursday.

"We are pleased to have Kelenna back in the fold," Warriors executive vice-president Chris Mullin said. "He is a young and talented player … his versatility, athleticism and ability to shoot the three-pointer certainly fit our style of play."

Azubuike started in 17 of 81 games with the Warriors last season, averaging 8.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 21.4 minutes.

The 24-year-old Brit averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 16.3 minutes in 41 appearances, including nine starts, as an NBA rookie in 2006-07.

Los Angeles has been active this off-season: inking Baron Davis to a five-year, $65-million US contract; trading for Marcus Camby, the NBA's top shot blocker last season; and luring forward Ronny Turiaf away from the Los Angeles Lakers with a similar offer sheet.
