Charlotte Bobcats rookie forward Adam Morrison was fined $25,000 US by the NBA on Tuesday.
Morrison, 22, was disciplined for making an obscene gesture to a heckling fan as he sat on the bench late in Sunday's 111-103 overtime victory over the Miami Heat.
"I have got to learn to take it, I guess," Morrison said. "But I think the guy went over the edge a little bit.

"[He kept] calling me 'white trash' over and over again. I reacted naturally and I made a mistake.
"I hurt the organization and the team. I'm sorry about it and it will never happen again."
Morrison was scratched from the lineup because of a sprained knee, the first time he did not dress this season.
"Adam has those sonar ears," Bobcats general manager and head coach Bernie Bickerstaff quipped. "Like a bat.
"That is another thing a rookie has to learn. When you move to this level, you have got fans; they're as good at what they do as the players on the court."
Morrison is averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 30.1 minutes in 77 games, including 23 starts, for Charlotte since being drafted third overall last June 28.
