The Detroit Pistons acquired Don Reid, Mengke Bateer and a future first round draft pick on Tuesday from the Denver Nuggets for forward Rodney White.
Reid, 28, will be entering his eighth season in the NBA and his second stint with the Pistons.
He has also played with Orlando and Washington.
Over his career, he has averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 402 games.
Bateer, 26, appeared in 27 games with Denver last season. He averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds.
After Wang Zhizhi, he is the second Chinese player to play in the NBA.
"We are pleased to welcome back Don Reid to the organization and add another young centre in Mengke Bateer," said Detroit president of basketball operations Joe Dumars. "It's difficult to trade a young talented player like Rodney White, but we feel this move adds depth to our front line and gives us flexibility for the future."
White, 22, played in 16 games with the Pistons last season. He averaged 3.5 points and 1.1 rebounds.
He was selected by Detroit in the first round -- ninth overall -- of the 2001 NBA Draft.
