Raptors bring back Douby, demote Jawai
The Toronto Raptors signed guard Quincy Douby to a second 10-day contract Friday and reassigned rookie Nathan Jawai to the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League.
Douby was originally signed to a 10-day contract on March 24, and in his one appearance with Toronto had two points and an assist in five minutes.
Before signing with Toronto, the six-foot-three Douby averaged 18.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 28.6 minutes in five games with the D-League's Erie BayHawks this season.
Jawai was previously assigned to Idaho on Feb. 26, appearing in 10 games with the Stampede, starting nine. The forward averaged 12.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 25.0 minutes. He was recalled by Toronto on March 23.
Jawai, 22, has appeared in six games with the Raptors. He has recorded two points and two rebounds in 19 minutes.
