Raptors sign former Golden State forward Dominic McGuire

The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Dominic McGuire, adding an athletic defender to their roster.

The six-foot-nine, 235 pound McGuire played 64 of 66 games for the Golden State Warriors last season, with six starts. He averaged 3.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 17.6 minutes.

McGuire was the 47th pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Washington Wizards. He also played for Sacramento and Charlotte.

The University of California product had career highs of 4.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 2008-09 with the Wizards. He started 57 games that season.
