The Hornets were without Vasquez for Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers because of the starting point guard's sprained right ankle.
Vasquez had missed two of the previous three games with an ankle injury. He went 0 for 2 and did not score a point in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
Left ankle injuries kept both Gordon and Vasquez out of the Hornets' victory Monday night over Denver, a result that snapped the Nuggets' 15-game winning streak, but coach Monty Williams says they're ready to return. Vasquez is the Hornets' third-leading scorer with 14.1 points per game and assist leader with 9.3 per game.
Vasquez is averaging 9.4 assists.
"He's one of the most improved players in the league,'' Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said of Vasquez. "He's got great court vision plus he shoots it well enough where you have to respect his shot.''
Vasquez has averaged 19.0 points, 10.0 assists and 6.3 rebounds in his last three games.
Vasquez has bounced back from a 7-point, 3-of-11 performance in his last game. Vasquez has three double-doubles in his last five games.
Fantasy owners have to be pleased with Vasquez's offensive display after watching him shoot a combined 3 for 22 (13.6 percent) over his previous two games.
Vasquez continues to impress with each passing game. He's posted double-digit assists in seven consecutive home contests.
Vasquez has posted an NBA-leading 192 assists since Dec. 14.
