Oklahoma City Thunder

Westbrook expects to be on crutches for about four to five weeks as he returns from knee surgery that has knocked him out of the Oklahoma City Thunder's playoff run.

Westbrook was hurt in Game 2 of the Thunder's playoff series against Houston. Westbrook says he's disappointed to be missing the playoffs and he's trying to help his team any way he can while he's out.

Coach Scott Brooks also plans to use All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook sparingly in Wednesday night's regular-season finale against Milwaukee, for perhaps 7 or 8 minutes.

The only reasons he's playing are to extend the NBA's longest active consecutive games streak to 394 and give the team a jump start. The Thunder have clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Westbrook had 21 points before getting ejected in the final 3 minutes and the Oklahoma City Thunder clinched the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs by beating the Sacramento Kings 104-95 on Monday night.

Westbrook added eight assists and five boards. Hopefully his ejection wasn't too costly to fantasy owners.

Westbrook had 37 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a 125-120 loss to the red-hot New York Knicks on Sunday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard is averaging 29.3 points in his first three games this month.

Westbrook turned in a well-rounded game with 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in Oklahoma City's 97-75 win over Indiana on Friday.

Westbrook continues to function alongside Kevin Durant as the league's most potent scoring duo, though Westbrook is rarely as efficient as Durant. Durant needed only 21 shots for 34 points on Friday while Westbrook needed 24 field-goal attempts for his 24 points. Durant shoots 50.7 percent from the field on the season while Westbrook is hitting 43.6 percent of his looks.

Westbrook had a triple-double to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 109-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

Westbrook finished with 23 points, 10 assists and 13 rebounds for his sixth career triple-double and first since Jan. 28, 2011.

Westbrook scored 21 points as Oklahoma City beat Portland 103-83 on Sunday night.

Westbrook handed out nine assists for the second straight contest.

Westbrook's recent perimeter shooting slump extended all over the court in Wednesday's 90-89 overtime loss to the Grizzlies, as he scored 20 points on 7-of-25 shooting, including an 0-for-6 mark from 3-point range.

Westbrook is 0 for 14 from 3-point range over his last three contests, and Oklahoma City is 1-2 during that stretch.

Westbrook scored 25 in Tuesday's loss to Denver but he was also 0 for 4 from 3-point range for the second straight game.

Westbrook is shooting a career-high 33.1 percent from long distance this season but he's riding a rough stretch, going 7 for 31 over his last 10 games.

Westbrook had 37 points and 10 rebounds, Kevin Durant scored 26 and the Oklahoma City Thunder held off a second-half charge to beat the improving Los Angeles Lakers 122-105 on Tuesday night.

Westbrook is averaging 32.2 points and 5.8 assists in the team's 5-1 run.
