Pondexter had been out since Dec. 28 with a sprained MCL.
The team announced the move Wednesday night. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Pondexter averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15.7 minutes last season for Memphis after being picked acquired in a trade from New Orleans for Greivis Vasquez on Dec. 24. Pondexter has averaged 3.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 130 career games.
